DMM Boa HMS Locksafe Carabiner
Alloy CarabinersAlloy carabiners are the backbone of most height safety systems. The best harnesses, lanyards, devices and anchors would all be impossible to use without the modularity provided by connecting components such as carabiners and scaffold hooks. Our carabiner range is extensive and varied, yet focused and versatile. Our connectors come in many shapes, sizes and with various gate locking mechanisms. From the innovative Revolver connector/pulley hybrid to our new ANSI compliant Klettersteigs, you can be sure that we will have a connector to meet and exceed your requirements.I-Beam technology and keylock gate/nose interfaces are prevalent in most of the range. Our carabiners give excellent strength to weight ratios and ease of use in all situations.Boa 30kN HMS RangeOversized, yet still ergonomic and user-friendly, the Boa family of connectors are ideally suited to applications where large connector volume and gate clearance are required. The large HMS shape allows for easy rotation of Italian hitches in tension rigging applications and the smooth curved internal form makes rotating the carabiner through attachment eyes simple. The large, curved, pear shape basket works like our DMM Ultra O carabiner when it comes to stacking (i.e. No un-nerving jumping when weight sharing) and the general oversize makes handling simpler when used with gloves. The Locksafe version is our most popular connector in treecare applications due to its amazing versatility. The classic triple-action, locking mechanism. The Locksafe is almost as simple to use as the Kwiklock, requiring just one extra push-up action of the barrel before the twist, but when locked gives even better protection from accidental opening. This is especially important in situations requiring complex, rope-running systems. A rope under tension may run transversely over other locking mechanisms exposing them to the risk of unlocking. The addition of the third required action dramatically reduces the likelihood of the same rope opening the Locksafe.Top Tip: Keep all Locksafes clean and properly maintained to increase longevity in use.FeaturesApproved to EN362:2004/BAlso available pre-drilled with a captive bar option conforming to EN362:2004/TA massive 30kN breaking loadLarge HMS shape provides increased internal volume and gate clearanceI-Beam section for increased strength to weight ratioTaperlock clean nose for increased gate push in and side resistanceHot forged and fully heat treated aluminium for lightness and maximum strengthAnodised to BS EN 7599:2010 AA10 Sealed for corrosion protectionRecommended as a belaying carabiner in conjunction with dynamic nylon ropesAvailable in Black, Olive and Sand in our Tactical rangeIndividually marked for traceability
